If you want to follow the life of a young New York socialite, then check out Melissa C. Morris's website.  

Why this site? Well, for starters, I attended high school with her at Morristown-Beard and just happened to find her on Facebook (of which I am a recent registrant).  When I checked out her site, I thought it was a lot of fun with her travels and special events and even the people she knows.  I especially like her special posts called "Preppy Picks" where she features a new product that she really likes.  Maybe I need a special name for my faves...like "Mo's Munch" or "Mo's Must Haves?"  

Now if I can just get a special invite to a designer's store opening or a special benefit gala, that would be perfection!  I'll settle for email blasts from stores that I sign up with.  Good enough!

Today's Shout Out goes to the Jersey Weddings blog by Erica Sapio on Nj.com.

I found her blog today while I roamed through the numerous blogs available and just loved her stories and tips. Check out her blog for her recap from a huge bridal show in Somerset and her visit to a book signing at Barnes and Noble in Princeton for Michelle Rago, author of Signature Weddings. Since her readers are New Jersians as are the target audience of my blog, I wrote to her with the link to my post about the planning that went into my wedding.

It's been way to long since I've done my Sunday Shout Out! and yeah, I realize it is Monday, but close enough! This morning I am trying to gear up to do all of my grading and comments for the end of the year and I decided instead to browse NJWeblogs.com for some Shout Out worthy blogs. I really like the premise of this blog and I think more communities should jump on the bandwagon. This blog is organized by the South Brunswick Post and it gives residents the opportunity to comment on anything going on in the community.

Here are the random happenings in Millville, NJ, just south of Vineland in Cumberland County. From Kids' murals in town to the Millville Bikefest, this blogger captures a lot of the events in town. However, not only does he capture the good of Millville, he is also proactive in trying to bring more attention to the neglect from landlords holding property in town. Here's a sample letter that he sent to one of those "slumlords" as he puts it. More power to him. I'm not that brave to do it, but sometimes you just get tired of the despair around town.


*Mo's Top Pick: Tommy Eats
This guy is doing exactly what I need more time to do! As a hobby, he travels around NJ and NY, trying out pubs and restaurants and blogging about them. He also offers cooking tips and wine advice. I'm still getting the courage to ask places I go if I can take pictures of their products and food. Thanks for the tips Tommy!

This week, my Shout Out! is a tie between Mom Reviews and Disjointed Intelligence.

I tried to choose one over the other, but then I thought that I would read both each day. Each blog comments/reviews on various topics that interest me. So instead of picking one over the other, I have given my Shout Out! for the week to both!
