Trendy, Chic & Cheap!: Laila Rowe

Make a Fortunate Discovery by Accident at Serendipity

I post a lot about boutiques that carry chic accessories, clothing, and more. I've told you about Morning 'til Night, The Front Porch, and Charmed by Claire. If you like any of these stores, you are sure to love Serendipity in Pennington. You may remember it on Main St and wondered where it went. It is on Tree Farm Rd in a bigger location with better parking.

Like its contemporaries, Serendipity carries multiple lines of jewelry, hair accessories, scarves, belts, bags, and now clothes. I bought the white French Connection top to your left in their 50% off sale rack.

In addition to clothing by Free People, French Connection-FCUK & Sweet Pea, you'll find jewelery/accessories by Laura J. Designs, Claire V, Hooven & Hooven, Sherry Tinsman Jewelry, Bryan Mcgriff Pottery, and We've Beaded Designs, just to name a few.

Serendipity is a great place to buy a gift for someone or treat yourself. And be sure to get on their mailing list for sale announcements.

Future Celebrity Trend Report

Winged Necklaces: I found this awesome necklace over at Liquorice-Allosaurs.com. I had gone through a butterfly craze in college (hence the butterfly tat), but I still think they are beautiful. This necklace is meant to look like a fossil and is handcrafted by the artist. The only con to this shopping site is that it's in the UK and isn't delivered as fast as US shipping. But I think something this unique is worth the wait!

Some other unique finds on L-A.com are:

The artist's personal blog is a look-book of her travels, interests, inspirations, and the landscape around her. It just makes you feel good ready along with her.

Love or Hate: Couture Coffee Sleeves

I was in line to get coffee at Wegman's the other day and noticed a zebra print coffee sleeve sitting in a basket towards the back corner. My first thought was, "oh that's kinda cool," but then I saw the price, $7.99, and thought, "do I really need another pointless accessory?"

The jury is still out if I really like these Cup Couture sleeves, but they are obviously picking up momentum in the fashion world. I saw them featured in this month's Redbook magazine. However, if the fact that they were in a basket in the corner of the coffee counter, then maybe they aren't hitting it big in Princeton.

Your thoughts?
