Love or Hate: Couture Coffee Sleeves

I was in line to get coffee at Wegman's the other day and noticed a zebra print coffee sleeve sitting in a basket towards the back corner. My first thought was, "oh that's kinda cool," but then I saw the price, $7.99, and thought, "do I really need another pointless accessory?"

The jury is still out if I really like these Cup Couture sleeves, but they are obviously picking up momentum in the fashion world. I saw them featured in this month's Redbook magazine. However, if the fact that they were in a basket in the corner of the coffee counter, then maybe they aren't hitting it big in Princeton.

Your thoughts?

Must Go Here...

I started my mission to find some cheap yet good quality eateries today and stumbled upon Zagat rated Fedora Cafe on Main St. in Lawrenceville, NJ.

This place can hit the spot for whatever mood you are in. It's eclectic ambiance is a nice surprise being that it is across from a prep school. But maybe that's why it's so popular!

Here is more commentary on local gem that I am sure to take my husband to:

Finally a Plainsboro Cafe!

The prolonged anticipation for businesses that will fill the Plainsboro Village Center has had a reprieve with the welcome addition of "It's a Grind". A franchise out of California, "It's a Grind" provides the locals with around-the-corner coffee while providing an alternative for those people, like myself, that are tired of the bustle of Starbucks and the bland flavors of Panera. Granted, we have an "Atlanta Bread" on Rt 130, but it's more of an eatery than a cozy cafe.

"It's a Grind" offers your classic coffee drinks and pastries in a warm and welcoming environment with armchairs, cafe tables, and a fireplace. There is also free Wi-Fi. It's location is perfect, being on the corner across from CVS, Super Fresh, and Blockbuster. The parking is easy and hopefully, there will soon be other stores moving in to allow for additional window shopping.

Please check this out. Too bad I live in West Windsor now, otherwise, I'd be there all the time!
