Weekend Round-Up with NJMyWay

Happy Easter! There’s something for everyone this holiday weekend—and a little something extra for our VIP Club members.

Take time to laugh as Saturday Night Live’s Rachel Dratch (remember Debbie Downer?) stars in the comedy Sylvia, about two empty nesters and a street-smart mutt. It’sall starting this weekendat the George Street Playhouse
(www.georgestplayhouse.org). We’ve got a pair of free tickets for Sunday, April 11th, for the first five people to sign up for our NJ My Way VIP Club today! You’ll also have exclusive access to freebies and discounts on stuff all over the state! Click here to enroll.

Check out First Saturday this Saturday in Asbury Park, featuring discounts at shops city-wide, a meatball eating contest, and chance to belt it out with a Bruce impersonator (www.asburyparkchamber.com)

Just in time for Easter, there are henhouse visits at the Howell Living History Farm (howellfarm.org/index.htm) The kids can ogle newly hatched chicks, learn how to collect and grade the eggs.

Step back in time at the newly renovated West Orange lab of inventor Thomas Edison. The campus compound, maintained by the National Park Service, features Edison’s three story library, his private lab, and Black Maria, the world’s first motion picture recording studio (www.nps.gov/edis/index.htm).

Edison would have loved this this; see How To Train Your Dragon at the amazing IMAX 3-D theatre in Palisades Center. (www.imax.com/palisades). Join our VIP Club now, and claim a big popcorn for free when you attend the show.

VIP Tip for this month: Get a two-fer on your admission tickets to the Spring Fine Arts and Crafts Show April 17-18 at the Westfield Armory, when you sign up for NJ My Way VIP membership.

This is a reprint of the NJMyWay Weekend Picks from 4/01/10. Send your events to events@njmyway.com
