Give away your household goods for a good cause

My husband probably cleans out old/rarely worn clothing like once every few years. Me? I deposit an enormous bag at least twice a year. Yeah I'm working on that problem. I usually just throw the bag in one of those donation bins at a business or supermarket and never really know who it goes to. But it took moving into a development of houses (from townhouses) to discover 2 worthwhile options for donating my clothing and both offer FREE and TAX-DEDUCTIBLE at-home pickup :

The Lupus Foundation of America: "Lupus is a disabling and life-threatening illness that affects more than 1.5 million Americans. There is no cure and we need your help today to Find One!" Donated goods are sold to private companies and the funds are used for education and research. I received the handy donation bag below in the mail and have scheduled my pickup for next week!

The Vietnam Veterans of America: "Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam veterans organization Congressional chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families." Donations help to provide over 50% of the funding for programs that support veterans and their families.
