One of my many volunteer activities has been as a committee member of the Enable Walk 'n' Roll Charity Walk which is happening on Feb 8th, 2009. It has been a lot of fun planning with the members and should be a fun event. The best part is that the walk is in INDOORS and there is no need to commit to a specific number of laps or miles. This is a great event for mommies too! Strollers are welcome and I'll be there with Maddy! Come join me and my committee as we walk.
Get in shape for “Walk ‘N Roll with Enable” to be held at PEAC Health & Fitness in Ewing, N.J. on February 8, 2009, 1 pm, on their indoor track. The walk is for persons with disabilities, their families and friends, community citizens, volunteers—anyone that wants to participate.
Enable is looking for persons who will participate as walkers, and for help raising pledges for the walkers. The Honorary Chairs will be Cynthia DeSouza, Ms. Wheelchair New Jersey 2008 and Kelly Rouba, Ms. Wheelchair New Jersey 2007. PEAC has donated their space and Novo Nordisk is one of the sponsors.
