In an effort to reduce the weekly magazine recycling and to quell my constant temptations to page shop, I looked into how I can cancel catalogs and other junk mail.
There are some services where you can pay a fee to cancel all junk mail, but that's another expense I don't need. What I did find useful is that most catalog websites have a contact email for the purpose of reducing catalog mailings. All you have to, once a day, is go on the company site and send an email. It won't take long. Yesterday I did L.L. Bean, Eddie Bower, Victoria's Secret, and the ValuePak. Now don't think that just because I'm canceling these catalogs that I don't like the products. Not at all! I mean Victoria's Secret!! Love their stuff! But don't need the temptation!!!
ValuePak and Victoria's Secret both had specific links for reducing mailings (Victoria's is shown above). With the Bean and Eddie, I just sent Customer Service email requests.
Very easy folks. I'll help you out and put the links up whenever I cancel a catalog.
Resist the temptation and just cancel the junk mail!
