I hope I'm not the only person who is bummed out that Craig Carton is no longer a "Jersey Guy" anymore. Yeah, he can be crude and rude, but he totally made the show!
Following a mutual decision to leave 101.5, controversial talk show host Carton will team up with Boomer on September 4th to talk sports in place of the Imus show on WFAN 660 AM from 6 to 10 am. I am a daily listener of the Jersey Guys and this will take me awhile to get used to hearing Casey and Rossi instead of Carton and Rossi.
Casey and Rossi?

You aren't the only one bummed. Matter of fact, I find it scary too. The powers that be of NJ have finally shut him up.
I'm sure financially, CBS is better for his family. But I feel like he abandoned us.
I don't know if he abandoned us, but it seems like he was forced into the mutual agreement. The new guy seems like he's almost as "passionate" as Caron was. We'll see. It's going to be a long adjustment.
I agree in the thought that the mutual agreement was forced. When I saw this:
"When asked about Carton's reputation for controversial statements, Dan Mason, the president of CBS Radio said Tuesday it wouldn't be an issue on the sports-centered radio show."
I knew they wanted to put him in a position where he would stop talking about local politics.
101.5 wouldn't have hired someone that would continue that trend.
I JUST CANT STAND CASEY'S VOICE..I FIND IT ANNOYING. CRAIG CARTON HAD A CERTAIN APPEAL AND I JUST CANT LISTEN TO THIS STATION ANYMORE WITHOUT HIM...THEY SHOULD OFFER HIM MORE MONEY TO COME BACK..HE IS NOT A RACIST..HE TELLS THE TRUTH..I GUESS HIS SUPERIORS ARE AFRAID OF THE TRUTH
Good riddance I say. Dennis and Judi are the best thing on that station. Too bad I'm usually too busy during the day to listen with any frequency. This new Casey guy sounds like a complete tool. Michele Pilenza is a total snooze-fest.
The Jersey Guy show just isn't the same. They no longer talk about the issues relevant to NJ and produce worthless chatter. What a waste of broadcast time. Sure Craig may have been controversial, but at least he shed light on important issues, raised awareness, and even did manage to turn a lot of wrongs into rights.
I'm now a listener of his morning show and while its not the focus of the sports show, Craig does comment on issues facing New York like he did while in New Jersey. It just seems weird to hear him talk in that manner.
I love his antics and he is great radio personality. I only hope that one day he'll return to the real Jersey Guys show and give Kermit the boot!
